Dr. Meriaux has joined the faculty at Newcastle University and is no longer employed with CRONUS-EU. Her post-doc at the Institute of Geography in Edinburgh (Scotland) included research aimed at a better establishment of cosmogenic nuclides production rates (3He, 21Ne and 36Cl) in basalts and their phenocryst phases. This work is part of the natural calibration network of CRONUS-EU and she works on calibration sites from the Azores and the Ascension Islands. Her past research has focused on understanding continental deformation in Asia and North America by estimating Quaternary slip-rates on major strike-slip faults using 10Be and 26Al surface exposure dating, as well as radiocarbon dating.
